Ruth Force, Aging Life Care Professional®, Owner

Having 26 years of experience working with older adults and their families, Ruth is living out her passion. In 1993, Ruth received her License in Social Work through the State of Ohio after having graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She immediately started working in a long-term care setting where she grew to love the residents and enjoyed working with family members. After marrying her husband, Dwight Force, in 1994 and moving out of state, she found work at the YWCA’s Battered Women’s and Children’s Shelter later becoming their Crisis Line Counselor. Missing geriatrics, in 1996, Ruth received her master’s degree in Psychology and started work in a Geri-psych outpatient setting; she has continued working with geriatrics ever since.

Ruth’s knowledge spans all level of care settings; long-term care, home care, dementia-specific care, and geriatric care management. Working with Dorian Maples & Associates, Inc. she received her certification in care management in 2006 through The National Academy of Certified Care Managers and is an active member, in good standing, with the Aging Life Care Association™.

In 2009, Ruth received her certification as an Eden At Home Trainer and supports the Eden movement to eliminate the three plagues of aging: helplessness, loneliness, and boredom. Being a resource to educate her clients to the care options available to them related to their medical conditions, is a strong focus for her.
